Race for Life 2021

November saw each class embark on a walk in the local community as part of our Race for Life Schools event. We felt that it was a fitting way to mark one year since we lost our dear friend Lynn- going on long walks was one of her favourite things to do. Well done to each pupil and staff member that took part in the event. We are so proud to share that we raised a huge £1410.40 in sponsorship money which will be donated to Cancer Research. Thank you to all that donated for your generosity and support.

Children in Need Day 2021

For Children in Need Day we had a cosy day in school wearing our pyjamas. We also welcomed a visitor for the day; our good friend Pudsey Bear! Thanks to your donations we were able to raise a fantastic £146.40!

Liverpool Cathedral Abseil

On 10th July, a team of 20 members of staff and parents braved a 150ft drop to abseil down Liverpool Cathedral to raise valuable funds for FOMS.

So far over £3000 has been raised!

Well done to all who took part and a big thank you to everyone for your donations and support.

Fun Day Fundraiser for Claire House- In Loving Memory of Abigail Lavender

On Friday 11th June we held a Fun Day within school to raise funds for Claire House. The day was made up of different activities such as 'Splat the staff,' Giant Bubble Making, Net-a-duck, target practice using water guns, giant parachute games and many more! Alongside this staff and pupils were invited to wear fancy dress and a raffle took place too.

Our raffle was made up of over 50 prizes, all of which were generously donated by local businesses and friends of the school. We were absolutely blown away by the generosity this event was met with, especially in light of recent times when so many businesses have struggled as a result of the covid-19 pandemic.

Thanks to the generosity and kindness of all involved we raised an astonishing amount of almost £1500!

This is a real testament to how special Abigail was to us all and to how important a charity Claire House is.

We had so much fun and it was certainly a day to remember!

'Love My Community' fundraiser' for Queenscourt Hospice

On Friday 28th May we took part in Southport Learning Partnership's Annual 'Love my Community' Fundraiser.

The theme this year was 'We Can Wear a Rainbow' and the event was in support of Queen's Court Hospice.
Pupils and staff were invited to wear bright and colourful clothing for a £1 donation.

In support of the event each class also took part in local walks throughout the week, during which they carried out Rainbow Scavenger Hunts, exploring the different colours within our community.

We raised a total of £85.80 for the event. Well done everyone!
