At Merefield we recognise the importance of Residential trips in helping our pupils to develop their resilience, confidence and independence. They are a wonderful way to expand upon communication and social skills and they enable us to be more aware of the world around us. They allow us to tackle new challenges whilst taking part in new and exciting activities.
In November 2021, 25 pupils visited the Bendrigg Trust in the Lake District on 3 separate trips. Activities included archery, climbing, zip lining, tube sliding, abseiling, caving, canoeing and more! We were so proud of how all pupils rose to the challenge and adapted to their new settings.
