Headteacher Blog

Tomorrow is the end of this first Spring half term but more importantly tomorrow is the day we will be saying "au-revoir" to one of our very much loved and long standing members of our staff team. Alison Loveridge is leaving school after 9 years of dedicated service as secretary/receptionist. When completing the Parent Partnership Audit last year one of the sections we had to assess was the initial welcome to the school and the help and support parents and visitors got whenever they contacted school or indeed upon arrival at school - this was the easiest section to grade because it was a unanimous decision that every aspect of our welcome/reception was outstanding - all because of Alison and her attention to detail and her naturally friendly and welcoming manner towards everyone. Alison is going to be greatly missed by everyone within our Merefield community - nothing is ever too much trouble and everything is always done with a smile and a " no problem sweetie "!!

Alison and her husband are moving to France for a whole new adventure and whilst we are all going to miss her, we are all really pleased for her new adventures to begin.

I know Alison will always carry a piece of Merefield in her heart and Merefield will always think of Alison " avec beaucoup d'amour "  ( with lots of love!! )

Thank you Alison for being such an integral part of our wonderful community - we will all miss you but wish you and Gary the very very best
