I am bursting with pride and appreciation! Merefield School has just won the Merseyside SLD Collaborative Group Enterprise Award!!!  As many parents are aware, last week we held an Enterprise Week whereby every class in school formed their own enterprise company and created a wide variety of gifts to sell all from a start up fund of £10 per class. The week culminated in our own Enterprise Fair on Thursday afternoon when parents and friends came along and bought nearly everything that was on show! This week Oak Class have continued the Enterprise theme and recreated the most popular items from last weeks sale and took them along today to a multi school Enterprise Showcase at Aintree Racecourse. The Oak Team gave a presentation to a Dragon Den Panel explaining about all our products and last weeks work in school. The Dragons were so impressed  - they commented that the wonderful "flanimals" ( animals made out of a face flannel with a crème egg inside!! ) should be sold as a commercial product!!  Our stall today had so many wonderful gifts - shrunken crisp packets as key rings, candles, hand decorated plant pots, sweety jars, badges, knitted ducklings with chocolate eggs - the list goes on ! This is a wonderful achievement and all credit must go to all the pupils and staff especially Oak Class!
