Merry Christmas Everyone!!
I write this listening to Slade on the school radio system and surrounded by more trees and decorations than Dobbies! So many people have been so kind recently but special thanks must go to Dobbies, Howards of Ainsdale and Bridge Inn Farm for their donations of trees and decorations. As always at this time of year everyone here at school is busy preparing for our wonderful whole school production - The Jolly Merefield Christmas Postman!! This is a wonderful opportunity for speaking and listening, dance, drama, art and music - so much more than just a show! I know tickets will be in great demand so do make sure you send in your request early!

An annual event is our participation in the Ainsdale Schools' Community Advent Service in which our wonderful signing choir performed "Go tell it on the mountain" - well done everyone, a wonderful performance!

The residential to Calvert Trust in the Lake District last month was a great success - many thanks to Sharon and the rest of the staff team who organised and went on the trip. Every class will be going out on a special end of term outing in the next two weeks as a reward for all their hard work in all their lessons during this termĀ - Santa's Grotto in Liverpool, The Toby Carvery - and again I would like to thank all the staff who make all these wonderful events possible.

I hope to see many of you during our end of term celebrations but just in case you can not make it into school I wish you all a very merry Christmas and a very happy New Year
