Four of our pupils have just completed their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award!!
This is a fantastic achievement for the young people and also for Merefield School.
Zedrick, Jack, Andrew and Daryn began the award back in September 2014 by volunteering at Tesco in Southport, they then had to complete the physical challenge at school and learned how to cook outdoors as part of the skill section. The final part of the award has just taken place in North Wales. They have completed their expedition, camped out overnight and cooked for themselves! The boys showed amazing independence skills throughout the expedition and truly deserve the award.
The group were led by Dave Gairn, Jo Ashcroft, Rachael Sharpe and Calum Fossard. We are now looking to recruit for next year!
